Gary Bunio
Gary is a proven business, project and technology developer, who has spent over 40 years in the development of new energy technologies and the creation of new business entities. Gary has written on aspects of innovation and development, and delivered meaningful insights with over a dozen projects and companies.
Gary works with leadership and business teams to develop new value chains. Gary has scaled several new technologies from bench to commercial implementation.
Gary and Dr. Ian Gates together created the concept of “Paths to Deployment”, the work of implementing new technologies and sustainable business models in the physical world. Within that work is the development of systems thinking to enable organizations to evolve into new, more sustainable entities.
Leanne Squair
Leanne has leveraged her knowledge and understanding of accessible design to contribute to many of Calgary’s infrastructure projects including YYC, public spaces and transportation. Leanne’s innovative approach provides for an environment in which everyone can participate and enjoy. Leanne’s inclusive relationship building has enabled her to lead and participate in numerous groups and committees furthering the understanding of universal design and the unique needs of people with disabilities.
Through her work, Leanne provides strategic direction in policy development and implementation, as well as development of productive government relationships at all levels. Leanne’s experience enables her to coach individuals and groups in the area of strategic alignment and accessibility.
Leanne’s most recent engagements include the YYC Accessibility Advisory Committee, Calgary Municipal Land Corporation (CMLC) Accessibility Working Group, Alberta Recreation and Parks (ARPA) Awards & Scholarship member, Accessible Renovations for Kids (ARK) Advisory member, and the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Accreditation Standards.
